Setting request visibility for users

To manage the types of requests that web portal users can make, you can change the request visibility settings in the Genetec ClearID™ web portal.

What you should know

  • Only Account administrators can change request visibility settings.
  • Changing these settings affects the types of requests available to all web portal users.

Procedure

  1. In the ClearID portal, click Administration > Account configuration .
  2. In the Request visibility section, configure the settings as needed:
    Enable request visibility for web portal users
    Allow web portal users to make requests.
    Request access
    Let users request area access for themselves, roles, or other identities.
    Request role
    Let users request role membership for themselves or other identities.
    Request an identity
    Let users create a single identity in the system.
    Request multiple identities
    Let users create more than one identity in the system.
    Invite visitors
    Let users invite one or more visitors to areas.
  3. Click Save.
    Users can only access selected request types in the New request dialogue.
