  - About visit request watchlist workflow
    A watchlist workflow is a series of activities performed by the system or authorized people during the life cycle of a visit request if watchlists are enabled. The activities can change the state and properties of watchlists, affect other entities in the system, or wait for conditions to be met.

    In Genetec ClearID™, watchlists screen visitors by name or company details. They can block or notify at site or global level, and are managed by watchlist managers.
  - Adding watchlist managers
    In Genetec ClearID™, a watchlist manager is responsible for creating and maintaining watchlists. They can add individuals or companies, configure site-level or global watchlists, and update existing settings. Before you can add or modify watchlists, you must first assign watchlist managers.
  - Adding watchlists
    To screen visitors at the person or company level, Watchlist managers and Account administrators can add watchlists that notify managers or automatically block visitors at the site or global level.
  - Adding individuals to a watchlist
    To automatically screen visitors upon arrival and either block their entry or trigger manager notifications, Watchlist managers can add individuals to a watchlist in Genetec ClearID™.
  - Adding companies to a watchlist
    To automatically screen visitors at an organizational level and either block their entry or trigger manager notifications, Watchlist managers can add companies to a watchlist in Genetec ClearID™.
  - Importing watchlist entries from a file
    To speed up your watchlist configuration and setup, you can import your watchlist entries from a CSV file. You can also download a sample CSV file to prepare your watchlist entries file in the correct format.

    To back up data or perform bulk editing in an external spreadsheet, Watchlist managers can export watchlist entries to a CSV file in Genetec ClearID™.

    To test new watchlist entries, you can enter the details of a person of interest or a company of interest to verify if there is a screening match.

    To remove obsolete or unneeded records from the system, Watchlist managers can delete individual or company watchlist entries in Genetec ClearID™.

About watchlists

In Genetec ClearID™, watchlists screen visitors by name or company details. They can block or notify at site or global level, and are managed by watchlist managers.

Watchlist behavior

There are two types of watchlist:

Individuals watchlist (): Monitor visitor check-ins for persons of interest. For example, an individuals watchlist can block listed visitors and notify managers, or simply notify managers when VIPs check in.
Companies watchlist (: Monitor visitor check-ins for companies of interest. For example, you might create a companies watchlist to automatically block access for people with a specific company name, company domain, or email address domain.

The individuals or companies listed in the entries of a watchlist can be entered individually or imported via a CSV file.

The watchlists' behavior can be configured as follows:

Notify watchlist managers when a match is found.
Automatically block visitors on a watchlist and notify watchlist managers when a match is found.

How watchlists screen for matches

Screening matches for individuals occur only when there is a first name and last name match, a first name and last name alias match, or an email address match.
Screening matches for companies occur only when there is a company name, company domain, or email address domain match.

How watchlist scope is defined

Global watchlist: A watchlist that is enforced across all sites in your system.
Global watchlists are highlighted by a world globe identifier () in the watchlist view as follows:
Site watchlist: A site-level watchlist that can be applied to one or more sites.
Site-level watchlists are highlighted by a site identifier (), followed by one or more sites, in the watchlist view as follows:

Reasons to block or notify

Reasons to block entry for visitors on a watchlist, or to notify a watchlist manager, might include one or more of the following:

Serious criminal records by Government agency
Violent activity or threats
False Credentials
Contraband items
Theft
Safety violation
Other reasons

Only a watchlist manager can view the reasons why visitors are in notify or block watchlists.
