Adding companies to a watchlist

2026-02-03Last updated

You can add companies to a watchlist so ClearID can screen visitors at a company level when they visit. Depending on how the watchlist is set up, ClearID will then automatically block them or notify managers, either for a specific site or across all sites.

Before you begin

What you should know

  • Only a watchlist manager can:
    • Add companies watchlist entries.
    • View reasons why visitors are notifed or blocked.

Procedure

  1. Click Organization > Watchlists .
  2. Select a watchlist from the list.
  3. Click Add entry.
  4. At the top of the watchlist entry, use the Enabled slider to turn the entry on or off.
  5. In the Watchlist entry criteria section, enter the following information:
    • Company name
    • Company aliases
    • Company domains
    Note:
Aliases are shown in brackets in the watchlist entries list.
  6. In Additional information, enter information as needed:
    • Reason
    • External reference ID
    Note:
The Reason field can contain sensitive private information, and can only be viewed by the watchlist manager for the site.
  7. If you have Watchlist entry permissions activated for your account, add the sites that you require in the Permissions section.
  8. Click Save.
