In Genetec ClearID™, site visibility determines how users see resources and identities
for the sites managed by the same ClearID account.
In cases where different branches, subsidiaries, or tenant companies in a managed building
are part of the same ClearID account, site visibility limits the employees who are
visible.
ClearID creates a view that limits the visibility of site resources like areas and
identities per identity.
By default, portal users can see identities and areas associated with their primary
site and can make access, role membership, identity, and visit event requests for these
resources.
Identity visibility is determined by primary site. If an identity doesn't have a
primary site, then it isn't visible to portal users.
Site owners automatically have visibility for their site, but aren't visible to
users with regular site visibility.
Account administrators can grant site visibility manually, or it can be
inherited based on user level or primary site.
When enabled, site visibility doesn't revoke area access previously granted to
identities.
