2026-02-12Last updated

To enforce a limit for identities with temporary access, you can set a site access duration. When the maximum duration limit is reached, their access expires.

What you should know

  • If the maximum site access duration function is enabled for your account, the limit is applied by default.
  • Only Site owners can set the maximum access duration.
  • This limit only applies to individual identities or access that was manually granted.
  • This limit does not apply to role access.

Procedure

  1. Click Organization > Sites .
  2. Search for and select a site.
  3. Click Access configurations.
Access configurations for a site in ClearID showing the maximum duration setting for access requests.
    1. Select Enforce a time limit for all requested or manual identity access to this site..
    2. In the Time limit field, enter the maximum duration.
You can enter a value from 1 to 365 days.
    Tip:
Use role groups when you have people who require permanent access to a site.
