Setting request visibility for users

To manage the types of requests that web portal users can make, you can change the request visibility settings in the Genetec ClearID™ web portal.

What you should know

You must be an Account administrator to change request visibility settings.
Note:
Changing these settings affects the types of requests all web portal users can make.

Procedure

  1. In the ClearID portal, click Administration > Account configuration .
  2. In the Request visibility section, configure the settings as needed:
    Enable request visibility for web portal users
    Turn on the Enable request visibility for web portal users option to allow users to make requests in the web portal.
    Request access
    Select Request access to allow users to request access to an area for themselves, for roles, or for other identities.
    Request role
    Select Request role to allow users to request role membership for themselves or for other identities.
    Request an identity
    Select Request identity to allow users to create an identity in the system.
    Request multiple identities
    Select Request multiple identities to allow users to create multiple identities in the system.
    Invite visitors
    Select Invite visitors to allow users to invite one or more visitors to areas.

  3. Click Save.
    Users can only access selected request types in the New request dialogue.
