Modifying identities

To update user information following personnel changes or to manage account activation states, an Account administrator can modify identities in Genetec ClearID™.

What you should know

  • Only Account administrators, supervisors, and identities or roles with the required permissions can modify identities.
  • Only Account administrators can delete identities.
Important:
If you update identities that are synchronized with an external data source, your changes can be overwritten by the synchronization.

Procedure

  1. From the homepage, click Access management > Organization > Identities .
  2. Click the drop-down menu and select an option:
    Active
    Displays active identities.
    Inactive
    Displays inactive identities.
    All
    Displays all active and inactive identities.
  3. In the Search field, enter your search criteria and press Enter.
  4. Select an identity from the list to view the identity details.

  5. Modify any settings, or deactivate or activate an identity as required.
    For example, after a change in job title, department, company, supervisors, personal information, and so on.

    You can register up to 3 vehicles per identity in the vehicles tab. The Type, Make, and Model fields are required. License plate numbers are synchronized with Security Center as license plate credentials. If you don't want to create license plate credentials, leave the License plate field blank.

  6. Click Save.
