    To invite a small number of guests for a visit or event, you can manually add up to five visitors in Genetec ClearID™.

    To invite more than five guests for a visit or event, you can import visitors in bulk from a CSV file in Genetec ClearID™.
  - SMS alerts
    SMS alerts in Genetec ClearID™ notify hosts when visitors check in. Use this reference to identify the countries and country codes that support SMS alerts for visitor check-in.
  - Customizing SMS alerts
    In Genetec ClearID™, SMS alerts are automatically sent to visitor hosts when visitors check in. To give hosts more relevant check-in details, Site owners can customize SMS alerts with information from visit events.
- Reviewing visit events
  To monitor visitor activity for their areas, Area owners, security, and reception can review and filter current, upcoming, or past visit events in Genetec ClearID™.
- About visit event logs
  Visit event logs in Genetec ClearID™ provide records of visitor and operator actions during visit events. Account administrators, Site owners, requesters, and hosts can use these logs to audit check-in activity and identify invited guests who did not check in.
- Viewing visit event logs
  To audit operator and visitor actions on check-in devices and review absent attendees, you can export visit event logs as CSV files in Genetec ClearID™.
- Copying a visit event
  To quickly create similar visits, you can copy a visit event and reuse details for recurring visits or events with many participants.
- Modifying visit events
  To keep attendees informed before a visit event begins, you can modify visit event details, visitors, and hosts in Genetec ClearID™.
- Approving visit event requests
  To decide which pending visit event requests to approve, Visit event approvers can review request details and approve valid requests in Genetec ClearID™.
- Adding visit events to your calendar
  To track upcoming visits and simplify check-in, hosts and visitors can add Genetec ClearID™ visit events to their calendars using the ICS file in the confirmation email.
- About visitors report
  In Genetec ClearID™, a visitors report is a list of current or upcoming visits, or visits that occurred in the past for a specific site. The report includes information about visitor name, event requester, event name, expected arrival, check-in, check-out, and watchlist status.

  To review visitor activity for a specific site, Site owners and Watchlist managers can view current, upcoming, or past visits and filter results by requester, expected arrival, or watchlist status.

Visitor invitations in Genetec ClearID™ let you invite guests for a visit or event using the self-service portal. Depending on your visitor management settings, you can invite visitors manually or import them in bulk from a CSV file.

The options displayed when creating a visitor invite can vary depending on your specific site and visitor management settings. Furthermore, if your identity home site is configured, you can invite visitors directly to that site if the visitor management settings allow it.

Invitation methods

Depending on the size of your event, ClearID supports two different methods for inviting visitors:

Manual invitations: Best for inviting five or fewer visitors at a time.
CSV import: If you have more than five visitors, prepare a CSV file to import your visitor list in bulk.
