Genetec ClearID™ uses workflows to process access, visit, or identity requests, and to approve or reject them.
Note:
Depending on how you configure your sites and areas, some of the workflow processes might
not apply to your environment.
Request workflows
A workflow is a series of activities performed by the system or authorized people during
the life cycle of a request. These activities can:
- Change the request’s state or properties.
- Affect other entities in the system.
- Wait for conditions to be met.
The following workflows support the different request types:
- Access request
- Manages requests for access to secure areas.
- Visit request
- Manages requests to visit a site.
- Visit request with watchlist
- If watchlists are enabled, manages visit requests and compares visitors against watchlists.
- Identity request
- Creates a single identity or multiple identities with a CSV import, and assigns them to a role to inherit the relevant access for a set period.
- Role membership request
- Manages requests for membership to up to five roles.
