Uploading a CSV template

To map identity and credential data and define how that data flows between CSV files and Genetec ClearID™, you must upload a CSV template.

Before you begin

Add a Cloud CSV synchronization folder

What you should know

  • You must be an Account administrator to configure Cloud CSV management settings.
  • The CSV template file must have a header row and contain at least one row of data.
  • Dates and paths contained in the file must be in double quotations.
  • Picture data contained in the file can be expressed as a relative path, absolute path, or Base64.
  • The file must be on the server where the Genetec ClearID Local Agent is running.

Procedure

  1. In the ClearID web portal, click Administration > Identity synchronization .
  2. Select the Cloud CSV configuration you want to configure from the list.
  3. In the CSV template section, click .
  4. Search for and select a CSV file to use as a template.
    This file must be an accurate example of all the columns you want to synchronize into ClearID identity fields.
    Tip:
    Use an exported file from your system that contains columns and user information as your template to populate example values when mapping identity and credential fields.
