To define how identity data flows between CSV files and Genetec ClearID™, Account administrators must configure your identity field mappings.

Before you begin

Upload a CSV template.

Procedure

  1. In the ClearID web portal, click Administration > Identity synchronization .
  2. Select the Cloud CSV configuration you want to configure from the list.
  3. In the Identity field mappings section, click .
  4. In the Identity field mappings dialog box, configure the mappings as needed.
The External ID ClearID field is mapped to the CSV file by default.
  5. To add a new mapping, click Add mapping field.
    1. In the ClearID field column select the ClearID field to map.
    2. In the Mapping type column, select the mapping type:
      Direct
Applies the CSV value to the ClearID identity field when synchronized.
      Regex
Applies a regex transformation to the field value when synchronizing from the CSV file row to the ClearID identity.
      Fixed
Applies a fixed value for the field. For example, the value for the Active field will always be true.
    3. In the CSV field column, select the CSV column to map to the selected ClearID field.
    4. In the Example value from CSV file column, view example values pulled from your CSV template for the mappings you have configured.
If the uploaded CSV template doesn't contain any data, then the Example value from CSV file column is empty.
  6. Click Save.

After you finish

Define how access credentials (such as card numbers and facility codes) flow into the system from your CSV file to ensure your synchronized users receive functional access rights.
