Synchronizing identity information from multiple CSV files

To synchronize different identity information from more than one CSV file, you can create additional Cloud CSV synchronizations.

Before you begin

Configure a Cloud CSV synchronization for the CSV file exported from your primary system.

What you should know

  • This procedure is for IT or security personnel responsible for external system attributes administration, and Genetec ClearID™ Account administrators.
  • In cases where different information is stored in multiple third-party systems, you can synchronize CSV files exported from each system to Genetec ClearID™.
  • Both CSV files must contain columns with the same External ID values so that ClearID can synchronize the information to the same identity.
  • You only need to install Genetec ClearID Local Agent once.

Procedure

  1. Add a second Cloud CSV synchronization configuration to ClearID.
    Example:
    ​You can use your first synchronization configuration to synchronize employee information like first and last name, department, and employee number, exported from your HR system. Your second synchronization configuration can synchronize employee photos exported from a different system.
  2. Add a Cloud CSV synchronization folder.
    Tip:
    Use the same folder that is configured in your first Cloud CSV synchronization configuration.
  3. Upload a CSV template for the data exported from your second system.
  4. Configure Cloud CSV identity field mappings.
  5. Configure Cloud CSV credential field mappings.
  6. Configure Cloud CSV advanced configurations.
  7. Configure Cloud CSV management settings.
