Synchronizing identities using Okta

To map external system attributes to internal identity profiles, Account administrators and IT security personnel can synchronize identities using Okta in Genetec ClearID™.

Before you begin

Ensure that Genetec ClearID™ system is selected as the source access control system for credential synchronization. For more information, see Configuring credential synchronization.

1. Learn about Okta synchronization.
2. Add a new Okta synchronization configuration to ClearID.
3. Retrieve your public key from the ClearID portal.
4. Prepare Okta for synchronization with CleaID:
   1. Configure group and user resources in Okta.
   2. Create an administrator role in Okta.
   3. Create an Okta application.
   4. Assign the administrator role and resources to the Okta application.
5. Configure identity synchronization using Okta in CleaID:
   1. Configure the Okta connection.
   2. Configure Okta groups.
   3. Configure Okta identity field mappings.
   4. Configure Okta credential mappings.
   5. Configure Okta management settings.
6. Review Okta synchronization logs.
