Creating an Okta application

To synchronize identity information between Okta and Genetec ClearID™, Account administrators and IT security personnel must create an application in Okta to obtain connection credentials.

1. Access https://login.okta.com/ and sign in to your Okta organization.
2. From the homepage, click Applications and resources > Applications .
3. Click Create App Integration.
4. Select API Services as the Sign-in method, then click Next.
5. Enter a name, then click Save.
6. In the Client Credentials section, click Edit.
   1. Change Client authentication to Public key / Private key.
   2. Click Save.
7. In the Public keys section, click Edit.
   1. Click Add key.
   2. Paste the public key you retrieved from the synchronization configuration in the ClearID portal.
   3. Click Save.
      Note:

      At least one public key must be added to save.
8. Click the Okta API Scopes tab and grant the following:
   • okta.eventHooks.manage
   • okta.groups.read
   • okta.inlineHooks.manage
   • okta.schemas.read
   • okta.users.read
