Configuring group and user resources in Okta

To synchronize identity information between Okta and Genetec ClearID™, Account administrators and IT security personnel must configure the group and user resources in Okta that ClearID can access.

1. Access https://login.okta.com/ and sign in to your Okta organization.
2. From the homepage, click Security > Administrators .
3. Click the Resources tab, then click Create new resource set.
4. Enter a name and description.
5. Click Add resource, then select Users.
   1. Choose the user resources you want ClearID to access:
      • All users
      • Select users
   2. Click Save selection.
6. Click Add another resource type, then select Groups.
   1. Choose the group resources you want ClearID to access:
      • All groups
      • Select groups
   2. Click Save selection.
7. (Optional) Click Add another resource type, then select Hooks.
   Access to event hooks enables real-time synchronization to ClearID when changes to identities are made in Okta. When not configured, you must manually synchronize changes.
   1. Choose the event hook resources you want ClearID to access:
      • All Event Hooks
      • All Inline Hooks
   2. Click Save selection.
8. Click Create.
