- About sites
  In Genetec ClearID™, a site is a logical entity. Sites include one or more areas. Each site and area can have a different owner.
- Creating sites
  Before you can configure your areas in Genetec ClearID™, you must create the sites that you want to associate your areas with.
  - Adding site owners
    In Genetec ClearID™, a Site owner is an identity that has authority over areas associated with a specific site. Before assigning or modifying Area owners, Account administrators must configure specific area settings that are exclusive to Site owners.
  - About visit profiles
    In Genetec ClearID™, visit profiles allow Site owners to configure different visitor management settings based on different visit needs within the same site.
  - Configuring visit profiles for sites
    Before users can invite visitors, a Site owner must add and configure visit profiles for your site.
  - Modifying visitor management settings for sites
    To determine how QR codes are shared with visitors and how Genetec ClearID™ manages visitor data, you must configure the visitor management settings for your site.
  - Viewing sites where a user can invite visitors
    To verify or update access, Account administrators can view a list of sites where a user can invite visitors.
- Modifying sites
  After adding sites, you can adjust each site’s settings individually. Account administrators and Site owners can manage site owners, properties, and visitor management options.
- Deleting sites
  When a site is no longer needed, an Account administrator can delete it from Genetec ClearID™.
- Setting a maximum duration for site access
  To enforce a limit for identities with temporary access, you can set a site access duration. When the maximum duration limit is reached, their access expires.
- Configuring access request documents for sites
  For sites with extra security measures or requirements, Site owners can require employees to upload supporting documents, like copies of drivers licenses or certifications, when requesting access to areas.

  In Genetec ClearID™, site visibility determines how users see resources and identities for the sites managed by the same ClearID account.

  To communicate specific requirements with email recipients, Account administrators and Site owners can customize the header and footer text of email notifications sent out by Genetec ClearID™.

- About access reviews
  An access review is the process of reviewing access for an area, role, or identity to confirm that the access is still required and valid. To ensure security compliance and audit readiness you can schedule your access reviews to occur automatically.
- Setting up automatic expiration for access reviews
  To ensure that reviewers and verifiers only review current access information, Account administrators can specify an expiration period for access reviews. If no expiration is set, reviewers may evaluate outdated data.
- Scheduling area access reviews
  To ensure security compliance and audit readiness, Site owners can set up area access reviews to occur at scheduled intervals. You can also start an area access review manually if required.
- Scheduling identity access reviews
  To ensure security compliance and audit readiness, you can set up identity access reviews to occur at scheduled intervals. These identity access reviews are performed based on a list of selected roles.
- Scheduling role access reviews
  To ensure security compliance and audit readiness, Role owners can set up role access reviews to occur at scheduled intervals. You can also start a role access review manually if required.

  After you have scheduled your area, role, or identity access reviews, you can modify or delete them.

  In Genetec ClearID™, an access reviews report is a list of access reviews. The report includes information about area, role, or identity access reviews and the current review status (not started, started, in progress, completed, or expired).

  Site owners can check the status of access reviews to ensure that the organization is security-compliant, audit-ready, and on-time. Supervisors can also check the status of identity access reviews for their direct reports, and Role owners can check the status of reviews for the roles they own.

  To ensure security compliance or audit readiness, Supervisors can perform identity access reviews to check your direct reports areas and roles access.
- Verifying an area access review
  To further ensure security compliance or audit readiness, verifiers can perform a second-level check of area access reviews.
- Verifying a role access review
  To further ensure security compliance or audit readiness, verifiers can perform a second-level check of role access reviews.
- Printing or saving an access review summary
  To share access review information with an auditor or other members of your organization, you can generate access review summaries for completed access reviews.
- About access requests report
  In Genetec ClearID™, an access requests report is a list of access requests for a specific site. The report includes information about the access request date, area requested, status, requested by, requested for, and period of access.
- Checking the status of access requests
  Area owners and Site owners can check the status of access requests at the site level for areas associated with a specific site. Using the Access request report, you can ensure that the organization is security-compliant, audit-ready, and on-time.
- About site activity report
  In Genetec ClearID™, a site activity report is an audit trail of activities or events for a specific site. Each entry includes a timestamp, the type of activity performed, the user who initiated the action, and additional details such as the reason for the change.
- Viewing a site activity report
  Site owners can view a site activity report to review an audit trail of activities or events for a specific site.
- About site and area owners report
  In Genetec ClearID™, a site and area owners report is a list that provides a global view of the following identities and their permissions: site owner, area manager, area owner, and watchlist manager. The report includes site, area, identity, identity permission, delegated from, identity status, and web portal access information.

  To get a global view of all identities and their permissions, Account administrators and Site owners can view the site and area owners report.

To verify or update access, Account administrators can view a list of sites where a user can invite visitors.

What you should know

Users are granted Invite visitors permissions for their home site by default.

Procedure

From the homepage, click Organization > Identities .
Search for or select a user.
Click Visitor management to display the list of sites where the user can invite visitors.
