  Genetec ClearID™ Self-Service Kiosk is a mobile app that simplifies the management of visitors enrolled using the Genetec ClearID™ self-service portal. The self-service kiosk is intended for visitor centers or gated facilities where guests check-in by themselves.

Configuring the Self-Service Kiosk label printer (Brother QL-820NWBc, QL-820NWB, or QL-810W)

Before visitors can use the Genetec ClearID™ Self-Service Kiosk to check in, you must configure the label printer so that labels can be printed during the check-in process.

Before you begin

Familiarize yourself with the following:

What you should know

Use only one label printer per kiosk and pair the printer with the kiosk using Bluetooth.
If you need multiple kiosk devices to share a single label printer, or if the printer must be placed far from the kiosks, use a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. For example, you might have two kiosks at the building entrance and one label printer located at the reception desk.

Note:

A rechargeable Li-ion battery unit (power supply) can also be purchased and used in situations where mains power is unavailable.

Occasionally, you might need to order supplies, replace the coin cell battery, recharge the optional battery unit (if used), or clean the label printer.
