Make sure that the custom card format (QR code) is imported and available in Security
Center.
What you should know
Only site owners or account administrators can enable the QR code credentials for visitors.
When a visitor is created, they start in an inactive state. Their credential includes an
auto-generated QR code, which matches the one in the confirmation email.
The credential is issued immediately, but the QR code only becomes usable after
check-in. It remains valid until the visitor checks out, or until the end of the scheduled
day.
Procedure
Click Organization
> Sites.
Search for and select a site.
Click Visitor management.
In the Advanced section, select Automatically create QR
code credentials for visitors.
Click Save.
The next time a visitor is invited to the site, ClearID automatically creates a QR code
credential for the visitor. The QR code is included in the visitor confirmation email.
After you finish
To validate that QR code credentials are automatically created for visitors, invite a
visitor and test the check-in process.
Tip:
You can search for a visitor in the
Visitor management task in Security Desk, then edit the credential to
check the visitors' Credential information, Credential
type, and Status.
