Viewing Microsoft Entra ID synchronization logs

To review synchronization-related activities for auditing or troubleshooting purposes, Account administrators can view Microsoft Entra ID synchronization logs in Genetec ClearID™.

Before you begin

What you should know

Logs are only populated after you perform the initial synchronization.

Procedure

  1. In the ClearID web portal, click Administration > Identity synchronization .
  2. Select a Microsoft Entra ID configuration from the list.
  3. In the Synchronization logs section of the configuration, click View logs.
  4. On the Synchronization logs page, filter the report as needed:
    Timestamp
    Filter the results by date. Select a predefined range or use the date picker to enter a custom date range.

    (Optional) Use the sort icons ( and ) to display the results in descending or ascending order.

    You can only sort data within a maximum time range of 1 year.

    Type
    Filter the results by one of the following:
    • Create identity
    • Update identity
    • Add member to role
    • Remove member from role
    • Create portal user
    • Update portal user
    • Delete portal user
    • Create credential
    • Update credential
    • Delete credential
    • Update supervisor
    • Synchronization
    • Extraction
    Entity
    Click to open a search dialog and filter the results by the entity for which the action was performed.

    Click to access the Only show errors option.
