Configuring Microsoft Entra ID groups

To define how group data flows between Microsoft Entra ID and Genetec ClearID™, you must add your group configuration settings.

1. In the ClearID web portal, click Administration > Identity synchronization .
2. Select the Microsoft Entra ID configuration you want to configure from the list.
3. In the Group configuration section, click Configure.
4. In the Edit group configuration dialog box, configure the group configuration as needed.
   1. Click Add group configuration to add a new line to the group configuration list.
   2. In the Microsoft Entra ID Group column, select a Microsoft Entra ID group that you want to synchronize from the list.
   3. (Optional) In the Map group members to ClearID role column, select the checkbox, then select the ClearID role that corresponds to the Microsoft Entra ID group from the list.
      Note:

      Configuring this mapping adds Microsoft Entra ID group members to ClearID roles, but does not synchronize any identity information.
   4. (Optional) In the Sync group members to ClearID identities column, select the checkbox to synchronize all the Microsoft Entra ID group members to identities in ClearID.
      Note:

      Selecting this box may create new identities in ClearID if identities don't already exist for corresponding Microsoft Entra ID group members.

   

5. Click Save.
