Viewing Microsoft Entra ID synchronization logs

You can consult the Microsoft Entra ID synchronization logs to review all synchronization-related activities for auditing or troubleshooting purposes.

Before you begin

What you should know

  • You must be an Account administrator to view the Microsoft Entra ID synchronization logs.
  • Logs are only populated after you perform the initial synchronization.

Procedure

  1. In the ClearID web portal, click Administration > Identity synchronization .
  2. Select a Microsoft Entra ID configuration from the list.
  3. In the Synchronization logs section of the configuration, click View logs.
  4. On the Synchronization logs page, filter the report as needed:
    Timestamp
    Filter the results by date. Select a predefined range or use the date picker to enter a custom date range.
    (Optional) Use the sort icons ( and ) to display the results in descending or ascending order.
    Note:
    You can only sort data within a maximum time range of 1 year.
    Type
    Filter the results by one of the following:
    • Create identity
    • Update identity
    • Add member to role
    • Remove member from role
    • Create portal user
    • Update portal user
    • Delete portal user
    • Create credential
    • Update credential
    • Delete credential
    • Update supervisor
    • Synchronization
    • Extraction
    Entity
    Click to open a search dialog and filter the results by the entity for which the action was performed.
    Details
    Click to access the Only show errors option.
The callback data range time period is limited to a maximum of 1 year
