Configuring the default portal language (culture) for identities

To configure the default language of the Genetec ClearID™ portal, Account administrators can set a culture for each identity in the organization.

What you should know

  • The culture defines the default language of the portal for each identity.
  • The culture also determines the default language for email and SMS notifications identities receive from the portal.
  • An identity's personal language preferences override the culture set by the Account administrator.

Procedure

  1. From the homepage, click Access management > Organization > Identities .
  2. Search for or select an identity.
  3. In the Culture field, select a language from the list.
    The language you select is applied to the ClearID portal and the notifications received by the identity.

    Only supported web portal languages are available. For more information, see Supported languages.

  4. Click Save.
