When a visit request is submitted, the specified Visit
event approvers receive an email notification.
Procedure
To view the details of a request for approval or denial, click
Approve in the visit request email
You’re redirected to the Genetec ClearID™ portal where you’re prompted to sign
in.
Review the request details and make any required changes.
Tip: You can modify the request if the request has an
error or something that needs to change. For example, you can amend the dates due to an
office closure, or amend the parking location to a more appropriate location.
(Optional) Click Show more... to view the history of changes
made to the visit request.
(Optional) Click Add comment to add notes to the history of
the visit request. For example, you can add notes explaining why you changed the date
and time of the visit.
Click Approve.
(Optional) In the Reason for approval field, enter a reason
for the visit approval.
Click Confirm.
Tip: To view a list of all pending approvals, go to Dashboard
> My tasks and select Pending from the list.
A confirmation email is sent to the visitor outlining the
details of their visit.
