Creating exceptions to the access request approval
workflow
2025-08-07Last updated
In Genetec ClearID™, an access request workflow is a series of activities performed by
the system or authorized people during the life cycle of an access request. To bypass the access
request workflow for certain types of requests or roles, you can modify an area's access request
approval workflow settings.
All access requests for an area must follow the steps for
approval set by the chosen access request workflow. You can create exceptions to this approval
process when certain users or roles make access requests.
For example, you can
automatically approve access requests made for users who belong to a VIP or Upper Management
role. You can also automatically approve requests if the requester is the Supervisor of the
person for whom the request is made.
You must be a Site owner or Area
owner to set exceptions to the access request approval workflow for an
area.
Procedure
In the Genetec ClearID™ web portal, click Organization
